Extension in its broader sense is a service or a system by which the fruits of the teachings of educational institutions are delivered to people who cannot acquire them normally, where they do business. Bandic Stavis considers agricultural extension as a government tool that encourages and disseminates techniques and methods that aim to improve the quality and increase the quantity of agricultural products to provide the food needed by the people at the national level or export and improve and improve the living conditions of farmers.

Mander considers agricultural extension as a service or system that increases yields and income through training procedures in improving agricultural methods and techniques and raising the standard of living of the peasants and improving the social standards and education of rural life contributes.

The above definition is very broad and includes all dimensions of the environment in which the farmer lives.
